As the name suggests, centralized inverters convert the DC power generated by PV modules into AC power, and then boost and connect to the grid. Therefore, the power of the inverter is relatively large. In the photovoltaic power station, a centralized reverser of more than 500 kW is generally used.
A centralized PV inverter is a series of parallel PV strings connected to the DC input of the same centralized inverter. Generally, a three-phase IGBT power module is used for high power, and a field effect transistor with low power is used. A DSP conversion controller is also used to improve the quality of the power produced, making it very close to the sinusoidal current. Generally used in systems for large photovoltaic power plants (>10 kW).
